Apologies if this has been covered by the search function doesnt appear to be working correctly

I have a sonicwall TZ170 and SBS 2003 running exchange server, i use POP3 connector to collect my mail from the host.

I have recently installed Sonicwall Enforced Anti Virus and Anti Spyware provided by McCafee, since then my pop3 mail keeps failing. When i uninstalled the software the pop3 mail worked fine. Problem is i need some anti virus protection running on the server. Is their a setting or something that im missing. Please help

Dave

You're using POP3 to get the mail from the SBS box? Are you using Outlook? If so, I'd certainly recommend not using POP3 and using RPC over HTTP instead. Far more secure, and you have all of the built in features working natively.

I believe Sonicwall's AV program requires the following ports to be open on the Windows Firewall or any firewall program you have running on each server or workstation:

TCP 6514
TCP 6515
UDP 59152
UDP 59153

Thanks for the answer, ill give that a try tomorrow morning.
