We have several WAN sites which use SonicWalls for dhcp.
We have 2 DNS servers which all DHCP servers point to and are configured with Microsoft's "wpad". Each DNS server has the WPAD alias.

We use two ISA servers here for redundancy

We are implementing automatic configuration of IE through DHCP

Our clients use web browsing to the inter/intranet
All clients use automatic detection method which points to a DNS alias isa.

However, clients on the SonicWall WAN do not resolve the automatic configuration.

Short of moving dhcp, has anyone else had this problem, or can offer a resolution?

Any ideas?

Thanks,

DPRello

So the clients behind the Sonicwall can pull IP addresses, but not the IE settings?

DHCP is delivered to the clients by the built-in DHCP 'server' on the SonicWall itself.
