I have a sonicwall pro 4060. I am trying to setup some ip addresses on it. I have a x0 as lan, x1 as wan, x2 as dmz and x3 as another wan, and x5 as hardware failover. I have one internet connected to x1 and another on x3. I am trying to setup bgp on my network. I have a cisco router hooked up to the x1 wan port through a switch which also plugs into the x2 dmz port. i currently have two ips on one interface of the cisco, one of them being a secondary gateway and the one interface is plugged into the switch.
my issue is that I am trying to test the new ips that I have on the secondary gateway to be able to change the dmz servers over to the secondary gateway eventually. Im not sure if my issue is on the cisco router because of the secondary gateway or is it the sonicwall because there is no configuration on the sonicwall for this new secondary gateway ip addresses.
I want to eventually move my dmz server ip addresses over to the secondary ip and then eventually become the primary.
