Actually, there is something out there that does turn NAV off. When it happened to me, i believe i went to the norton website and found out what to do.
Its either a virus or spyware that does this, and i think its a virus, pretty sure. But again, you can find it at nortons website.
I will see if i saved any info on that when it happened to me. Sorry i cant remember more, it was a while back.
And it is true, NAV gets turned off and will not work at all until you fix it, the fix wasnt too much work, i just cant remember what i did.
I just thought of something. If you cant find the info you want at the Symantec site, you could install the free version of AVG antivirus and run it. That way you would find out what virus is causing the problem. If i recall AVG couldnt fix the prob but it did identify it and then you can google the problem and get the fix for it.
I would only do this as a last resort as I do believe the answer is either at the symantec site or perhaps even at the microsoft site, i just dont remember any words or wording that you could google to find the fix.
Again, sorry about that, but at least you know a bit more about the prob and I do know there is a fix for it.
well, i think it is a trojan since Norton does identify that there is one. Just cant get rid of it yet. the web site for norton talks about it and it takes a lot of steps to get rid of it.
So I will be spending time trying to kill it.
