This is extremely weird.
We have half a dozen Brother 5380's and some 5270's and other printers. They are all installed on a server and used over the network. We have software that selects a printer and tray (each tray has a different variety of headed paper) and prints the letter.
I was off yesterday and everything was printing out wrongly. When I looked, none of the 5380's had any extra print trays any more. The 5270's and other makes were fine.
I installed a 5250 printer on Monday afternoon. The only thing i can think of is that the install removed the trays on the other printers which wasn't noticed until staff restarted pc's on Tuesday.
This seems bizarre, but I can't imagine how else it happened.
I've added the extra trays again and got everyone to reboot and all is ok again.
Any explanations? Fairies maybe?
