Is there something like SQL Plus in Oracle for DB2?

garyweik,

you can run scripts in the following way

db2 -tvf gary.ddl

or alternatively simply typing in db2 will put you in a db2 "command shell", where you can enter interactive commands.

Cheers
Greg

I do not think Gary is looking for command line interface.
SQL PLUS in Oracle is an SQL extension, primarily used for writing stored procedures.
I guess DB2 offers stored procedures as well, but I remember you need Java running for them to work.
Anyway, there are several redbooks on DB2 stored procedures on the IBM site

Ties,

thinking a bit further, what you're describing appears to me to be more like pl/sql?

Greg,

You're right of course!

command center would be the equivalent of SQL plus?

Bit confused I was (like yoda would say)
