I do not think Gary is looking for command line interface.
SQL PLUS in Oracle is an SQL extension, primarily used for writing stored procedures.
I guess DB2 offers stored procedures as well, but I remember you need Java running for them to work.
Anyway, there are several redbooks on DB2 stored procedures on the IBM site
the sqlplus I use with Oracle, appears to be a close equivalent for the DB2 Command Line Interface. Please see attached link, which is what I understand by SQLPLUS
