I know this may not be the most appropriate forum but...

As a fluke I tried typing in and someone elses web site came up.
I did the same thing for my other 2 web sites and the same Web site came up.
Normally when I type this in I get 'file not found' which is fine.
When I type in anything else before my domain I get 'file not found'

I'm going to contact my ISP, and raise a fuss but wanted to get some feedback here.
Is this considered leaching ?
Is this eating my bandwidth ?
Is there any freeware or something that will help me scan my site to see if this is happening elsewhere ?

Thanks alot in advance.
Colin

Hi mate,

What domain is it? The one in your sig??

When I type mail.chefmedia.co.uk it takes me to Is this the problem site??

I would say chance are that the dns has been mixed up and that this sub domain has somehow pointed to this other domain.

Contact your host and alert them of this problem and make it clear that you want this resolved as you are losing customers.. Even if you are not, just bluff them..

On the other hand, your host may have deliberatly sold a subdomain to this site. This is not likely but it depends on who your host is..

Hope this helps Wullie

Sounds to me like you are hitting a mail server that has webmail enabled. Your account is probably not configured for the webmail there for you are getting a defualt page. DeZiner

Thanks alot for the input guys.

Wullie, you're right that's the web site that comes up.

DeZiner, I actually think I am configured for Web Mail (or atleast supposed to) I just never bothered to look into it.

I'll be contacting my ISP ASAP.

Thanks Again
