Is there a way to put a prefix in front of his dialing?

Nobody else cares...just one person

Program a button for Line pool access with Feature 64 this will grab the line out of the pool and then he can start dailing the number

I have done this.

In this case i have two companies on the same system..One doesn't have to dial 9, the other does. If i remember correctly, my associate when tracing the indiviual "Phone Company" numbers allocated, said that he had to dial 9 from a butt-phone...does that make any sense?

Centrex 9. You could program a button with f*1, 9. Otherwise, tell him to dial 9 and like it.

If it's a centrex digit we're talking about, there's a reason it's there. Dialing that 9 puts the caller outside the centrex group, and starts regular billing for the call.

Changed the phone system last week...the complaint is that he never used to dial NINE so maybe there is a way to prefix it.

Under Terminals&Sets/Line Access/Prime Line, set that to the appropriate pool instead of Intercom for his set.

Customers ALWAYS say they never had to do something before. The standard response to "it's not supposed to work that way".

Also, if you set prime line to an external pool it will ONLY work if he picks up his handset, or presses Handsfree. If he pushes an intercom button he will get internal dial tone only.

Program the set to Prime Line to pool of choice then program in Capabilities to Hotline/External/9
Prime Line to pool dials the access code 9 to get out
Hotline dials the access code for the the line itself since the carrier needs a 9 too.

Use routes and destination codes to dial out and set the external number 9 to dial out in the route .
