I have a netware 4.1 network and have problems with user profiles. Select workstation when logging off do not write the user.dat file to users home directory. It only gets written to local c:\windows\profiles\.. and also to c:\windows I have made sure that all workstations have User Profiles enabled.

Thanks,

What Netware Client are you using, Microsoft Client for Netware or Novell Client 32(Intranetware)? It makes a difference on where the Home directory/roaming profiles are stored. Check MS article Q191416.

You also need to verify that the Home directory is getting setup properly. One way is to go to a Dos prompt and type
NET USE X: /HOME...if you get an error then the Home directory is not setup correctly for the user.
