I have a windows 2000 PC running IE 5.0
This PC can view all video files we come across.
Something extra got installed on this PC,a Service pack or ???

There is another PC running Windows 2000 and IE 6.0
This PC wants to donwload something. it won't play the file
The is No codec for it

These are NOT REAL player files.

Any ideas what it is?
we want to view all files on both PC's

TIA

What type of file is it? What extension does it have? ====================================

This is just a guess but it may be the DivX codec drivers. Noticed that WMP does not download these drivers and I had to install them manually.

You can get them from joegz

That's what I was thinking. I used to download videos all the time that had sound and no picture or a picture and no sound. I thought they might be corrupt but I figured why not get the latest codec and give it a try. Sure enought it worked like a charm. ====================================
