Hi,

We have Crystal 8( 8.x?) running on the server. Reports are sent to IE all over the company. Some users cannot get the reports.

The reasons vary - the viewer is just blank, the viewer gives a message -- 'Unknown Name'

There is no pattern that we can see - users have similar desktop setups. Most users have no problem

Ideas?

Are you using Crystal Enterprise?

Are you using ePortfolio?

Which viewer are you using?

How do they invoke the reports if not ePortfolio?

Perhaps they have an old Active-X control installed?

Not much to go on here.

Were you able to solve this problem?

I am using Crystal Enterprise 8.0 and the ActiveX viewer brought up via a url. I am experiencing the same symptoms with just one user. I will try to uninstall and reinstall the ActiveX viewer on his browser and let you know what happens.
