Hello!
I'm running RH9 and have noticed that a couple of things only work if you're the first person to log in.
My PC is used by a couple of others and I utilise the 'gdmflexiserver' command to start a new X session on ALT+CTRL+F8, F9 etc etc.
The first thing I found was that audio playback only works on the first session. I tried the --enable-sound parameter for gdmflexiserver but that doesn't seem to have worked.
The second thing I noticed (just yesterday) was that GL based sceeensavers only work on the first logged in session too - even if the first session is not using a GL screen saver, the second session cannot launch the screensaver (or even the screensaver config).
Does anybody have any idea where I could go to figure out why this is happening and, hopefully, fix it?
Thanks!
We've all heard that a million monkeys banging on a million typewriters will eventually reproduce the entire works of Shakespeare. Now, thanks to the Internet, we know this is not true. [Robert Wilensky, 1997]
