Hello,
We have setup a new Windows 2000 backup server to do our backups that we are now doing on a nt40 backup server. I find that some of the selections for the backups are "greyed" out and we need to be able to get to these servers. We have the same permissions as on the other nt40 machine. Right now we have both up, and everything is fine on the nt40 machine. I am trying to start with just one server id to start a backup on the Windows2000 one, and eventually want to switch all over to windows 2000. any suggestions as to what could be the problem as to us not being able to select some of the servers ?
Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

The reason you are not able to see the other servers is because the Backup Exec. remote agent is not loaded on them. You will need to purchase one license of the remote agent for each server you want to backup.

Cadcoord,
I did discover that,I looked on the Veritas site. we loaded the licenses on and away we go.....thanks for answering this!
