I would like anyone who is currently using Crystal Enterprise 8.5 to give me a review on the product. We are currently using the free version of Seagate Info 7.0 and would like to move to a web-based application. We tried the Seagate Info web version and found it very buggy and ended up installing the client version on user's machines. We also are in the process of developing data marts in SQL 2000 and we can probably use CE 8.5 as a front-end tool for viewing cubes created off of these data marts. Could anyone also comment on moving current reports from Seagate Info to Crystal Enterprise 8.5? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Our only concern is that we hear that Crystal Enterprise is very pricey...

CE 8.5 is a great improvement over 8.0, and since it's rolled in much of the SI functionality, such as scheduled output, it's reasonably mature.

It supports 7.0 reports, and you shouldn't have any difficulties getting your reports moved over, but then I didn't require a migration from SI.
