Some "Logical Disk" not available?

Hey all,

I'm making a quick console to show me available free space on my servers. I've successfully connected to all of my Windows 2000 servers but some of them don't have the "Logical Disk" option. That's the only option that I've found (at this time) that will tell me how much free space there is on a server.

I've had some issues in the past with space due to my GPS guy dumping his huge files onto one of the servers (I setup a share for him but sometimes he "misses" it?). Is there something I need to do to configure my uncooperative servers so I can see how much free space they have on them?

Thanks,

Joe B

Just an FYI, I run Vista, and what I've done is just connect to each of my servers file drives using Vista...that way I can open up My Computer and quickly get a nice visual of available drive space.

I'm Certifiable, not cert-ified.
It just means my answers are from experience, not a book.

Hmmm... Can you do that without mapping drives? I had thought about mapping drives because that would give me a Total vs Available figure but it seemed somewhat cumbersome. Is there a FAQ you can point me to?

Thanks,

Joe B

Not that I'm aware of...it's why I've mapped the drives on my system. With Vista, you get a graphical bar representing the used space. Very nice.

Ok, now I understand how you're doing it. I was hoping that there was another way but doing it this way will definitely give me the information I need.

Thanks,

Joe B
