I know this is simple but for some reason I just can't get it too work. I have a report that has the final captions an grand totals at the bottom:

Total Claims =Sum([CountOfNum Claims Proc])
Total Minutes =Sum([Sum Of Time Used])
Total Cost =Sum([Sum Of Time Used])*0.29

What I want to do is show the Avg cost per claim. I have tried different ways of dividing the formula for Total Cost by the Formula for Total Claims. How should it really appear. This is the only thing hanging me up from completing my project. Thanks.

0.29*(Number of Minutes / Number of Claims)

(Number of Minutes / Number of Claims) would give you average number of minutes per claim, then it's just a matter of multiplying it by the cost factor.

It worked perfectly. so simple yet I was trying to make it much more difficult.
