Hello:

I just bought Macromedia Flash, and have a few beginners questions I thought you might be able to answer. I want to have a cool introduction to my website (an swf file), and so far I have a fairly decent file made. However, I have run into a few problems:

When I upload the swf file online, and go to it with my browser, it keeps looping over and over again. How do you stop it from looping?

Secondly, I would like the browser to redirect to my website after the movie is done. For example, once people see the movie I made, the browser would automatically go to my website. How can this be done?

That's it for now. I appreciate any and all of your help!

As with working on anything make a copy of your current work and name it a different name.

In flash.

1. double click on the last frame of your flash movie to open up frame properties.

2. click on the actions tab

3. click on the plus sign

4. a drop down menu will come down click on the stop text in the drop down menu

5. notice stop is in the little white box under the plus sign - click the plus sign again.

6. in the drop down menu click on the get url text

7. in the white url box to the right type in the entire website address you want it to forward to (EG: ... .com)

8. click the ok button and then save your movie both as a swf file and a flash file.
