I have a legato server and for simplicity I created 1 pool with the name "empty". The purpose of "empty" is to be empty and when it goes into the correct pool such as the "servers" pool it will get renamed for the pool "servers". The problem is that this works fine for some pools and not for others.

If it goes to the pool ncna it gets renamed. If it goes into the servers pool, the name stays "empty" and it clearly has data on it now.

check the label templates of your pools.

But i think you confused volume and pool in your thread.

Once a media has been labeled for a pool, it will stay there by default. You must set the two pool options "recycle from/to other pools" to overcome these boundaries.

Naming a pool "empty" is fine. Intending it to remain empty, does not make sense.
