some pc's can't access some servers

Monday afternoon I started getting reports from a few people that they were unable to access some of their shared drives. After working with them, I found that they couldn't ping them either. They can ping and map to every other server, and it's only affecting a handful of people. And it's not the same server that can't be accessed by all the users. Some can access one that another can't.

These are not new pc's. They are w2k workstation accessing w2k servers. We are in a domain with two DC's. The primary is running DNS, DHCP, and WINS. We did realize that a new server was brought online that day that was also running those services, but has since been disabled.
I have flushed dns, change from dhcp to static address, reinstalled protocols, rebooted servers and workstations and manually added addresses to host and lmhost file. We are on one subnet.

We have been pulling our hair out trying to figure out the problem. Any suggestions would be very appreciated.

Thanks for the suggestion, I will keep a hold of that tool.
Believe it or not, I was able to solve the problem by replacing the NIC. I can't figure out why it would be the issue of not being able to get to one server, but could to all others. Anyway, I was relieved that it fixed it. I hope it's permanent.
