We are running a network with 2 Novell 6 servers on it, a main "file and print" server and a secondary server runing bordermanager. We recently changed the IP address range from 192 to 172 and are getting some clients picking up the secondary server instead of our main one. We have changed the DHCP range OK on the main server, but are having difficulty changing the SLP.

Any advice would be appreciated

Your problem is definitely related to SLP. Sounds like your file server isn't registering itself correctly (or at all).

Or, it could be the clients are looking for the SLPDA using the old IP addy. Are you handing out SLP info via DHCP?

You can also turn off reply to get nearest server on the BM box
