Some months ago I got a strange message after installing free-type on FreeBSD running Apache:
/usr/libexec/ld-elf.so.1: Shared object "libXaw.so.6" not found
After a few hours the problem disappeared on its own and I didn't worry about it.
Yesterday I installed zlib and now I get the same message AGAIN, when I start emacs!
At that time rycamor wrote
"It should be at /usr/X11R6/lib/libXaw.so.6"
I checked it up and it IS at that location. Still can't use emacs!
I copied the missing library to /usr/lib and got a new error message saying that "libXmu.so.6" is missing. Should I go on copying libraries or will I end up in a dead-end?
Help!
