Some date data not displaying on report

I am using Excel as a data source for a Crystal 9 report. I have several date time fields that are recognized by Crystal, performing calculations correctly, etc. I have one date time field that is not recognized. Whenever I browse data, the data in that field displays. Whenever I put that field on the detail line. no data displays. It 'looks like' the other date time fields that DO work. I am only using one worksheet for the datasource.

Have you checked that field to see what Crystal thinks the data type is? If there is any odd balls in the data (invalid date, empty values, etc.), Crystal can change to a data type that it feels more appropriate.
