I have been tasked with doing some terminations for some single mode fiber that a customer is using. I am going to use the AFL Fast Connect LC connectors. We use them all the time with MM OM3/OM4 stuff, but this is my first dabble into single mode, and probably my last, so I don't want to invest $700 in a CT-08 cleaver or higher. Can I use a used CT-06 or CT-07 or even a CT-30A cleaver? I can get them on ebay for about 1/3 to 1/2 the cost of buying a new CT-08.

I have used a CT-30 in the past for singlemode and 3M mechanical splices. It was actually recommended by our FIS salesperson at the time.
