Hi everyone,

I just got a job re-doing web pages for a local goverment agency, but I need some advice. They are wanting to change the format of their site, their old one consists of one topic main page and 12 sub-topics, there are currently 400 pages divided among the 12 sub-topics. Each sub-topic uses it's own template.

They want the 12 sub topics pages re-grouped to 4 topic main pages, instead of one. All of these pages will use one template.

Now my question is, what would be the best way for me to migrate all the information and data queries to the new format? Is there an easy way to go about this?

Thanks in advance

Dog work unfortunatly.
I was doing something recently but with only 30 pages. Easiest way for me was simple copy and paste into the new template.
Standardise the presentational mark-up on each page and it will make it easy then it is literally copy and paste the information into the new templates.

Also, you using SSI or PHP in the template? That would also make it easier as you can separate sections of the page from the content, easier to spot mistakes etc

You got a good editor?
