In my job I want instant access to my *shared* outloook calendar (and that uses the *existing* outlook window). It seems simple but messing with the command-line switches wasn't getting me anywhere...but after lots of tweaking I finally came up with the wacko syntax that made outlook do it (among other things, according to Help, "/folder" doesn't formally take a parameter!)
Here's the shortcut (NOTE: assumes using outlook 11; ALSO NOTE: replace "John Doe" with your name):
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\OUTLOOK.EXE" /recycle /folder outlook:\\Mailbox - John Doe\Calendar
Hope people find this helpful!
