I have some basic idea about bar coding.
I am planning to implement in my organisation.
Could someone help me to choose the right instruments,printers etc..

Scenario:
Receiving Dept : We receive items/boxes with bar codes. We are planning to have a hand held wireless/remote scanner for the receiving person...which is the best solution ?

(again..if you think..I am confusing here..sorry this is because of my ignorance in bar coding.)

Packing: 8 packing stations. People go to pull items from the shelves and bring it to the packing station and shud scan them. At the end of the day we go to upload the details to our inventory software.
So not sure about what system, hardware, how many devices etc,can be used here.

Could some one guide me.

You may consider purchasing a portable(batch) scanner.
The portable scanner reads the barcode and stores it, after you finish you upload the data(most of readers uses .csv format) to the inventory control software.
