I had posted this on the wrong forum, and actually have the answer as well:

"I have a Jornada 548 and for the past few days, whenever I reset the device, I get a message on the screen "Cannot find dpTCPGateway" or one of its components. Does anyone know what this error message means and how I can fix my handheld to prevent this message from appearing?"

Solution: Go to Start, Programs, File Explorer, My Device, Windows, Startup, and look for the name of the file that is referenced in the "Cannot find..." error message. Delete that file, and the error message will stop appearing. The file is left-over from an incomplete program removal action.

Thanks,
Ben
