Hi
we have exchange 5.5 and we are going to upgrade. Every this is working fine with exchange 5.5. So we don't want to upgrade the existing server, rather we want to put e2k on the same network along with E5.5 for 2-3 months before migrating all users to new E2k server. If I put both servers parallelly on the same network, I feel I will be able to send email from E2k but I want to know how we will recieve emails for the users who will be defined on E2k. Because all incoming emails are forwarded to exchange 5.5 server from the firewall. And we can only give one Server IP on the firewall to forward emails to. Is someone having suggetion how we can make recieve emails on E5.5 and E2k as well when both are on the same network. Half of the users on E5.5 and another half on E2k.
plz advice.
regards
Shak

in e2k you have a pop3 connector, so you could have your e2k get mail from the 5.5 server..
In that way you could move some test users to e2k before migrating.
There would be problems with shared resources though.
Microsoft got a few good papers on server migrating, maybe you can find some good tips there?
