I have a 1U Dell Poweredge 1950 that I am using as a Citrix box for about 20 users. For training purposes, the boss has asked that I allow the users to listen to past sales calls from the server. The PE 1950 has no sound card.

1) Is there a way to add a sound card to this server? Specs mention a PCIe riser card. Has anyone had experience with this?

I'm trying to avoid downtinme while I tear the server apart looking for a place to stick a PCI card.

Thanks.

I would recommend against using your Citrix box for delivering audio since it chews up bandwidth. If you were to do this, do your users already have sound capable PCs? It would make more sense to store your sales calls on a file server and have your users access from there.
