Solution for putting a number on a label

I am trying to number labels on a report I built. The labels have first name, last name, employee number fields included...I also want to number the labels consecutivly (ie, 1,2,3..)and show the number on the report...the report is generated from a table.

I have tried to do for...next statement in vba but how do you display the value from the results on the report?

Create a textbox.
ControlSource: =1
RunningSum: Over Group (or Over All)
