Solution: External USB Hard Drive not recognized by Windows

Hello out there,
I have posted a solution to a problem that I've had with multiple external hard drives in our organization. From one day (or connection) to the next, your external drive is not recognized by Windows as being formatted, but shows up in Device Manager and Disk Management.
