Had a customer call me and want to know why there Spider Solitaire game that is native to WinME runs very slowly. Did a little research on the net and found an issue where this game would run like molasses unless Outlook Express was running in the background? Tried this out and to my amazement it worked! Anyone ever heard of this or know a fix?

DigMag...

Ive heard stories where those games report back to there
company with information on you, or your system, whats on your HD soforth. I'd just remove it...Dont you think its weird how it will only run correctly with outlook running>?

CrymSYN you sound a little paranoid. As for DigitalMajik i havent come across that problem, sorry cant help you. It runs fine on my system with OE open.
CrymSYN FYI Spider Solitaire does not report any information back to microsoft. My firewall does not report any activity occuring when spider solitaire is running even when i am connected to the internet. And it hasnt sent any emails on my behalf through OE to microsoft, or to anyone for that matter

Hi
Right click on your Desktop..plain area..
Click on properties
Click on TAB performance
Slide the BAR one or two points backward on the video performance, so that the directdraw etc will not be used.
Redusing 32 bit color to 16 bit color also helps.
This will speed up SPIDER game.
Hope this helps :) ramani :-9
