We still have several Rolm 9751 systems in use, several that are having trouble with diskette backups. I found a company that promoted USB or SD card development and offered to produce a solution for us. Unfortunately they took the money and ran. I wonder if anyone has done or heard of a way to replace diskette backups with solid state memory, or for that matter the hard drive? If the hard drive could be replaced by an SD or USB memory another source to store backups really may not be necessary. That's assuming DEF VOL HD and COPY BACKUP commands could be used to store active memory files to the new drive. Another flash drive or two per site wouldn't be too expensive. Or - once they're on the new memory maybe copied from there to another backup source? I doubt it - or we probably would have seen something by now. One thing I've liked about the Siemens 3000 is being able to store the config on PCs and other media.
