I am having problems getting corel to putput a solid black image even when the fill is shown as 100% solid fill it will only output as 90-95% fill. Whilst I have worked around this for a number of years by using other applications it is now a serious problem for me out putting to an outside print firm. Both problems occur with version 8 and 10. Even when I export as PDF for the printer to output 2 colour seps they still seem to forces the 90-95% fill rather than a solid.

PLEASE HELP. This has cost me an awfull lot of money this week.

Are you using the Pantone colour model for your file and separating your pdf your end, several of the 'blacks' when converted to cmyk contain other values. Could you describe your workflow, it may give us more of a clue to your problem. I use V10 and use 100%k and have no problems.

Look down the very bottom of your color tool bar on the right. You will see the last square is valued @ 100%C 100%M 100%Y 100%K.

Good Luck

Hi everyone and thanks for your responses to my problem with Corel and Full Black Fill. I have tried all you suggest but to no avail it only gives me a 98% fill and not a true solid black. You would only see this on an ascetate printout. I have discovered however that to achieve a real solid black fill sect your CYMK fill tool and scroll down to Registration and select that as your fill. This gives me a 100% solid fill.......Took me 4 years to find that out though. Thanks all

Using the registration colour, I think will put it on every plate you separate. Just something to look out for.
