Solaris8 on Intel VS Freebsd VS Linux

Hello all,

Just wanted to know, what are the main advantages of solaris over freebsd4.4.

I've been using Linux for a the past 5 years and just recently started to use freebsd, very good solid system.

Now I also installed solaris 8 on intel and see that the Gui is not the best and was wondering why there are so many people using solaris as appose to freebsd?

What am I missing?

For a mail server which on is better? I mean perhaps better said, which one is easier to setup? using either qmail or sendmail running either on solaris or freebsd?

about the comparison between those OS.

AFAIK, almost all UNIX system use sendmail as the default MTA, it works fine on slow network and use less filedescriptor than qmail.
