Hello,

Can someone tell me if SVM packages are installed as part of the Solaris 9 install and how to launch the GUI or a description of the CLI commands to configure a boot mirror. I have already partitioned the boot drive with an open slice for the databases, but I have not used SVM before. I have set up Solaris Disk Suite on Solaris 8 a few times before, but not SVM.

Thanks,

John

John;

SVM is part of the standard Solaris 9 release. SVM used to be Soltice DiskSuite.
for Gui you can use Solaris Management Console, launch console with smc command.
Command line is the same as disksuite as far as I read.

Thanks

goto and search for Infodoc 13503 for details; if you are familiar to SDS SVM is no hurdle, since SVM is just a new name for SDS...

Best Regards, Franz
