Hi folks,
just wondered whether anyone had any information on the following security issues:
RPC statd file deletion
RPC statd format string attacks
RPC statd overflow
These apparently can be fixed by 'Upgrading to the current version of statd from your vendor, or if it is unecessary, remove it following your vendor's directions.'
RPC cmsd overflow
RPC sadmind overflow
Fix as above, but removing cmsd instead of statd.
RPC ttdbserver overflow
Fix as above, but removing ttdbserver instead.
I'm using Solaris 7 patched to spec. as per the latest Sunsolve release.
Do I need to worry? Thanks.
