I am trying to disable the Solaris registration screen on a workstation. I did this a long time ago and recall creating a file /etc/default/solreg and adding a line disable=yes. This doesn't seem to work. Does anyone know what I am missing?

I think is not "yes" but "1", if is the
/usr/dt/config/Xsession.d/1000.solregis script is trying to force the user to register, to disable for one user:
# touch ${HOME}/.solregis/disable
There are two easy ways to globally disable registration:
Just pkgrm SUNWsregu, or create a file called /etc/default/solregis, containing the one line:

DISABLE=1
