Hi all,
As a UNIX admin I don't have a great deal of experience working with proxy servers so forgive me if this question seems vague or simple.
I have a *new* Solaris 8 machine at home running on x86 architecture and 2 XP systems. Traditionally I have used ZoneAlarm software as my firewall but since I now have a Solaris system it would make alot of sense for me to have a dedicated proxy server running on this machine. I don't have a router or even a hub - my machines are networked using crossover cables so they won't complicate matters.
My questions are as follows;
1)Are there any good UNIX firewalls which anybody would recommend for this purpose?
and
2)How would I go about configuring my XP systems to route through this firewall when connecting to the internet?
Thanks for your help in advance!
