Solaris NIS+, changing the default username length

By any chance does anyone know how to change to username default length for NIS+ Name Service. I need to push it to a length of 12 instead of 8.

Sun are going over to using LDAP, and LDAP will do what you want.

NIS+ is not flexible enough, and you can't change the length of passwords or anything in NIS+ (8 letters maximum) whereas you can in LDAP.
