Hi All,

I am running Solaris 9 and Solaris 10 on different hosts.
I have an application that has hardcoded IP addresses.

I would like to know How to perform an outgoing Destination Network address translation on a solaris box. It is really easy to perform DNAT with linux. But with Solaris I do not see how.

Example:

whenever I ping from my Solaris NAT box, I would like the ping to be sent to

Thanks.

Wouldn't that just be an entry in [tt]/etc/hosts[/tt]?
Code:
# The following IP is for [URL unfurl="true"]www.google.com[/URL]
74.125.19.104 [URL unfurl="true"]www.yahoo.com[/URL]

Oh, plus the file [tt]/etc/nsswitch.conf[/tt] would need this line...
Code:
hosts: files dns
This would make it use the file [tt]/etc/hosts[/tt] before doing a name lookup in DNS.
