What is the difference between some command under /usr/lib/fs/ufs directory and /usr/sbin?
(For example: /usr/lib/fs/ufs/mkfs and /usr/sbub/mkfs etc.).

Thanks in advance.

I believe the utilities under /usr/lib/fs/fstype are 'helper' utilities for /usr/sbin/mkfs. So /usr/sbin/mkfs calls one of the ones in /usr/lib/fs depending on what type of filesystem you are making.

The man page for /usr/lib/fs/ufs/mkfs can be accessed by doing a man mkfs_ufs. Annihilannic.
