We are running Solaris 2.8 with Oracle 11i. The system came to a slow halt and then we couldn't even telnet in?? Seems that there are a couple of files missing. A etc/group file and a var/adm/wtmpx file. The group was keeping us from logon. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas??

sar -q might give hints if it was slow enough
