Hi,
I need to install a solaris 9 machine with Checkpoint firewall VPN1 NG R55.
Do you have some useful tips?
How to partition os, how to secure the system and so on...
Do you know if there's an installation procedure written by checkpoint and sun?
Thanks
Tarek

I don't know why I'm not able to install it.
I have already added the following mandatory packages:
- SUNWlibC
- SUNWlibCx
- SUNWter
- SUNWadmc
- SUNWadmfw

Please help!
It's a firewall production system and I don't know how to figure out!
Thanks

Tarek

I encountered a problem installing Checkpoing NG 54 AI on Solaris 9 that looks similar to what you encountered. My work around was to add an 'installer' user with root privs
and then the pkagdds that are part of the Unix install script worked.
