Solaris 2.6 - 2.8 upgrade problem

Hi

We have upgraded a system from 2.6 to 2.8 and now have the following problems :

1) error messages on boot up saying "couldn't set the locale correctly"

2) external disk array created using solistice, can no longer see these disks and metainit fails saying /dev/md/admin does not exist even though when looking it is a link to /devices/pseudo/md@0:admin

Any help greatly appreciated...
