Quick question;

how can I check which ip protocol is running (ipv4 or ipv6)if no ip address setup? From what I understand in solaris 10 /etc/inet/ipnodes is where ip addresses need to be setup if running ipv6.

Thanks

CA

As far as I know you don't actually 'run' a protocol, although there may be a kernel module loaded to support it, if that's what you mean? Try checking the output of modinfo for an "ip6" module.

I presume it wouldn't have any effect on your system until you actually configured one of your adapters with an IPv6 address.
