I have got a T200 running solaris10 and from the console I'm able to telnet out anywhere I want to. But from a different machine on the same network I'm unable to telnet/ssh/rsh into it, but i'm able to ping it. What could be causing this issue???

Is telnet/ssh/rsh enabled? Can you do these functions from the system back to itself?

Use the service command with the telnet service to see if it disabled (I don't have a solaris box handy):

svcs -a

and to enable

svcadm enable telnet

All seems fine with telnet/ssh/rsh/ftp etc, I have spoken to the people in the datacenter and it looks like some kind of hardware failure so Sun are going to come in and have a look. I would go myself by the server is in Singapore!

cheers for the responses!

Oh, check your netmask/broadcast.

Since you have a default route, your side looks good outbound.
