Solaris 10/Linux Dual boot

I just downloaded Solaris 10 (and burned the cds). Before I install, are there any issues to be concerned with? What preps do I need to do before? Can they share filesystems? Can Solaris root be on /dev/hdb? Does it have to be a primary partition or can it be on an extended partition?

I have never played with Solaris before.
