We are rebuilding a client's T5120 and are getting the "Bad Magic # in Disk label" screen error when loading off the #1 Solaris 10 8/11 OS DVD. We replaced all the drives and need to restore from an ADM backup tape but need to boot from the Sol OS DVD to get started ...

We deleted the Raid Array we initially setup ... (4) 300gb drives - RAID 10 ... and rebuilt it with the raid disk successfully .... but are still getting the error.

It has been years since we had this error and are not 100% sure on the exact steps to correct it.

We think we just need to format each of the (4) drives individually which will relabel them correctly.

Does anyone have the exact steps to take to fix this bad magic # label error?

Thanks!
