Hello,

I am a novice to the BladeCenter ... We have a JS20 setup with 14 blades ..I am trying to loaded AIX 5.3 to all the blades .. When I logon and issue the console command it tells me the SOL"serial over lan " is not ready everything looks to be configured correctly .. Any help will be appreicated ...

Thanks

Have you enabled it on the side panel?

BTW if your planning on installing individual blades from AIX media, be prepared for a long wait (1.5 hours) between disk 1 & 2. If I where you I'd look at setting up a NIM install.

Also make sure all your firmware is at current levels.

I'll have to have a look at my notes (At home) I'll post this weekend. I remember having the same problem with SOL and it turn out to be really simple.
